Let it be known! It requires a full session on juggling to bring all soccer drills to a conclusion. It is a basic skill that every soccer player must learn and be good at. It has a dual effect of benefiting both the beginners and the senior players. Related soccer exercises involve the use of player's feet, thighs, and head to deal with the ball.

When used as a warm up activity, its value can be judged from the fact that in only 10 minutes of juggling, the players begin to feel warmness in their muscles and notice their heart rate increasing.

Juggling is also helpful in making the players become skilled at the close ball skills and the way to deal with the ball. They tend to develop a good judgment of control and maneuvering of the ball in the midst of an opposition attack. Last but not the least, players develop confidence through juggling that makes them relax with the ball (a vital quality required for successful attack).

In their soccer practice, players develop their individual styles by juggling on their own. As a coach, few of the tips given below can help you.

While juggling with the foot, the players should be taught to use the top of their foot or the laces. The legs should be comfortable and the foot must be contracted as soon as it touches the ball. Instruct them to hold the arms out a little so that they can maintain balance.

Train them to bring the knee up in order that the upper leg is horizontal while using the thighs to juggle. Help them identify the fact that ball needs to come into contact with the top of the thigh. It is crucial that the body is bent backwards a little and the arms pulled out straight so that balance is maintained.

Juggling using the head is the most difficult for the kids. However, during the soccer drills, they should be encouraged to practice it a lot. It is required of the players to review the correct angle so that the forehead is brought in contact with the ball. The head should be held adequately higher so that the eyes face the sky. The legs should be bent and should straighten a bit every time a contact with the ball is made.

As supplementary to these soccer training techniques, ask the players to use shoulders, outside of the heels, and the back of the neck also. Under extraordinary conditions, it becomes crucial to use these contact points. The young players should get a feel of the ball on their laces as this is the area that will be used most to kick the ball.

To finish off, it is necessary to highlight the factors of rhythm and balance. These help in juggling and therefore must be learnt. Teach the players to cool down and evaluate the movement of the ball. After practicing, they will be able to juggle well.
